From the 2025 cycle the Mains is a UPSC-style descriptive examination (language papers plus General Studies I–IV), replacing the earlier objective Mains. Prelims remains objective (GS + CSAT) and there is a personality-test interview.
Is Marathi compulsory for MPSC Rajyaseva?
Yes. Knowledge of Marathi is mandatory, and candidates from outside Maharashtra must have passed Marathi at the SSC (Class 10) level or equivalent.
