Is there negative marking in RRB Group D?
Yes. One-third (1/3) of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer in the CBT. Unanswered questions are not penalised.
What is the minimum qualification for RRB Group D?
A 10th-class pass, or an ITI / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from an NCVT-recognised institution. No graduation is required.
What does the Physical Efficiency Test involve?
Male candidates must lift and carry 35 kg over 100 m in 2 minutes and run 1000 m in 4 min 15 s; female candidates lift 20 kg over 100 m in 2 minutes and run 1000 m in 5 min 40 s. The PET is qualifying only.
What is the status of the CEN 08/2024 cycle?
The CBT was held between November 2025 and February 2026 and the answer key was released on 17 February 2026. The final result is awaited pending court proceedings; the next cycle is CEN 09/2025 for 22,195 posts.
