What is the eligibility for SSC MTS?
You must be an Indian citizen who has passed Class 10 (Matriculation). The general age range is 18–25 for most MTS posts, with some MTS and all Havaldar posts open to 18–27 years.
Is there negative marking in SSC MTS?
There is no negative marking in Session 1 (Numerical & Reasoning). In Session 2 (General Awareness & English), 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
What is the difference between MTS and Havaldar?
Both are recruited through the same exam, but the Havaldar post (in CBIC and CBN) additionally requires a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
