IIT Kharagpur healthcare hub enters sustainable phase

The Common Research and Technology Development Hub (CRTDH) on Affordable Healthcare at IIT Kharagpur has entered its sustainable phase. Established in 2019 under the CRTDH Scheme of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, it meets operational costs through user fees, industry sponsorships and translational partnerships. It has facilitated over 20 technology transfers, many already commercialised.

  • CRTDH on Affordable Healthcare was established in 2019 and has transitioned into a sustainable phase under DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology
  • Hub now operates as self-sustaining national facility for affordable healthcare technology development and translation, providing infrastructure and technical support to innovators
  • CRTDH has facilitated over 20 technology transfers, many already commercialised, and partners with clinical and non-governmental organisations
