SUMAN Roadmap 2030 focuses on 13 High-Focus States and 130 districts to reduce maternal and newborn deaths. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare convened a workshop in Lucknow on September 2–3, 2026, where Guidelines on Birth Waiting Home (BWH) were launched. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to the goal of zero preventable maternal and newborn deaths by 2030.
