Ranvaji Mahotsav provides women's savings groups with market access for their products. Organised under the Rural Development Department, the festival runs for three days.
The Prime Minister cited India's 7.8 percent quarterly growth and said a Japanese credit rating agency had upgraded India's rating in the same period. In the speech, published by PIB on 05 SEP 2026, he said electricity production increased by 9 percent and vehicle sales grew by more than 20 percent between April and June. He added, "Growth in steel and cement consumption increased by 8 percent."
A high-level committee chaired by V. Radha will study recruitment examination procedures and recommend improvements in transparency, security, trustworthiness and impartiality. Radha is Additional Chief Secretary (Services) in the General Administration Department.
The Sarang Helicopter Display Team of the Indian Air Force has reached Egypt for the 2nd EI Alamein International Airshow. The event is scheduled from 08 to 10 September 2026 at EI Alamein International Airport, where the team will perform choreographed flying displays.
A three-year roadmap for a drug-free India covers July 2026 to July 2029. The Ministry of Home Affairs and all state governments are working together on it. A model for forming dedicated Anti-Narcotics Task Forces was sent to all states and Union Territories.
Jatayu Conservation Breeding Centre (JCBC), Pinjore, housed 356 vultures and successfully bred 35 chicks during 2025–26. The centre breeds White-rumped, Long-billed and Slender-billed Vultures for conservation. The Union Minister visited the facility, reviewed a presentation on the centre and interacted with officials involved in vulture conservation.
Goa's conviction rate rose from 22% to 53%, a PIB Delhi statement said, crediting three Naveen Nyay Sanhitas and effective ICJS implementation. Courts can decide criminal matters within 6 to 8 months, it said.
Bhagwat Prasad Makwana has been appointed as Chairperson of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK), with Kaishab Bihari appointed as Vice-Chairperson. The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, made the appointments. Manoj Kumar Balmiki, Sushma Gaudiyal and Ravi Ramu Kalose have been appointed as Members of the Commission. Sushma Gaudiyal is a returning Member of the NCSK.
