Talcher Fertilisers Limited and NTPC Limited have applied for the Scheme for Promotion of Surface Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects, the Ministry of Coal clarified on 05 SEP 2026. The Government approved the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 on 5 May 2026. It aims to facilitate additional credit flow of up to ₹2.55 lakh crore. It covers MSMEs, eligible non-MSME business borrowers and scheduled passenger airline companies.
