Jatayu Conservation Breeding Centre (JCBC), Pinjore, housed 356 vultures and successfully bred 35 chicks during 2025–26. The centre breeds White-rumped, Long-billed and Slender-billed Vultures for conservation. The Union Minister visited the facility, reviewed a presentation on the centre and interacted with officials involved in vulture conservation.
Goa's conviction rate rose from 22% to 53%, a PIB Delhi statement said, crediting three Naveen Nyay Sanhitas and effective ICJS implementation. Courts can decide criminal matters within 6 to 8 months, it said.
Bhagwat Prasad Makwana has been appointed as Chairperson of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK), with Kaishab Bihari appointed as Vice-Chairperson. The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, made the appointments. Manoj Kumar Balmiki, Sushma Gaudiyal and Ravi Ramu Kalose have been appointed as Members of the Commission. Sushma Gaudiyal is a returning Member of the NCSK.
